Twilight's Taylor Lautner Takes His Place Alongside Robert PattinsonMadame Tussauds

US teen heartthrob, Taylor Lautner, has become the first celebrity of the year to join Madame Tussauds London’s A-list Party area. A brand new wax figure of the Twilight sensation was revealed standing shoulder to shoulder with co-star, British actor, Robert Pattinson – BUT the pair will only remain together until fans have selected which one should take centre stage in their very own exclusive area.

The dashing figure mirrors Lautner’s relaxed style with a jean and leather jacket combo paired with his trademark sultry expression. The figure took four months to create at a cost of £150,000. 
“Taylor was one of the most requested personalities in 2011 and we are delighted to welcome him to Madame Tussauds London today” commented Liz Edwards, PR Manager at the attraction. “We wanted to do something fun to celebrate Taylor’s arrival and what better way than to try and answer the ultimate question – Taylor vs R-Pattz, who is the supreme ‘King of Hearts’? Both Taylor and Robert are hugely successful young A-list actors with loyal and very vocal fans so it will be really exciting to see the results!”

Oscar winner, Colin Firth, is the latest celebrity to be revealed at Madame Tussauds London. The new wax figure of The King’s Speech star was ‘unwrapped’ yesterday under twinkling lights and surrounded by festive Christmas trees within the A-List Party area of the attraction. The actor, renowned for his dashing demeanour, is captured in his red carpet finest of a black textured tuxedo complete with bow tie and pocket handkerchief.

“We are delighted to welcome Colin Firth to Madame Tussauds London” commented Liz Edwards, PR Manager at the attraction. “What better Christmas gift for our guests than this striking new figure of the globally adored actor? Colin is a one of the hottest leading men of our time, an Oscar winner and a true British gent – the ideal addition to the A-list of stars we already have here at the attraction”

The figure took four months to complete at a cost of £150,000 and will be situated with other A-listers from Bruce Willis to Kate Winslet to the Beckhams. The British actor is the eighth and final new figure to be revealed in a special year for Madame Tussauds London; in December the world famous attraction celebrated the 250th anniversary of the birth of its founder, Marie Tussaud.

Madame Tussauds London has revealed a stunning new wax figure of R&B Queen Rihanna. The Barbadian beauty took centre stage in the attraction's interactive Music Zone alongside an iconic cast of female performers including Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and the late Amy Winehouse. The singer, famed for her sexy stage outfits, is captured in the sleek style she sported for her sensational X Factor duet with 2010 winner Matt Cardle, complete with a fitted floor length black dress slit to the hip and bright cherry red hair-do. "We are thrilled to welcome Rihanna to Madame Tussauds London" commented Liz Edwards, PR Manager at the attraction. "Her inclusion couldn't be more timely as her 'Loud' tour arrives in the Capital this week. We are sure she will hit the right note with our guests as demand for her figure has been huge since her appearance on The X Factor 2010. Rihanna is one of the biggest music stars of the moment and is a perfect addition to the "diva dream team" of female artists we have here at the attraction". As the count down to next year’s Olympic Games hots Madame Tussauds pays tribute to team GB as one of its brightest hopes, World Champion Heptathlete, Jessica Ennis unveiled her new wax figure. Portrayed in an iconic post-race celebration pose with her arms raised triumphantly as she proudly holds aloft a Union Jack flag, the real Jessica was blown away by her wax double.  Jessica’s figure will feature in the interactive Sports Zone, with a cast of greats from past and present - from Lewis Hamilton to David Beckham, Mohammed Ali to Jesse Owens.  Plans are underway for her to be joined next year by some of her GB team-mates in a special dedicated olympics area.

The hero line up here at Madame Tussauds London has become even more "Marvel"-ous this Summer as the newest Super Hero recruit joins the Marvel Super Heroes 4D experience!
You can measure up to the star of the new theatrical realease of Captain America: The First Avenger, out on 29th July, with an amazing re-creation of the character complete with bulging biceps and trademark costume.  You can also check out some of the authentic props in a set inspired by the film and step behind the Super Hero's famous indestructible shield.

Captain America joins fellow Super Heroes Spider-man, Wolverine, The Invisible Woman, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man and Nick Fury in the unique immersive, interactive experience which culminates in a jaw dropping 4D film.
